Pushing Sixty and Sunny!

Last week, the dreary, cold weather left us and warm sunshine returned.  On a "Spring-ish" day, in the middle of winter, it would have been a sin to keep on working.  So, it was off to visit the donkeys.........

"Hi Buddy!  We have missed your smiling face!"

"And look....there's Gypsy, Brownie, and Pluto!  Hi guys! Whatcha been doing lately?"

That cute little guy in the middle is Baby-B.  He's growing up!

Not wanting to waste any of that precious sunshine, JR and I decided to take the "Little Caboose" to the river to feed the ducks.  First, we grabbed a container at the barn and filled it with feed pellets.  Then, because life is to short not to stop at McDonalds for apple slices, fries, and chicken nuggets, we did just that.  I had almost forgotten what eating out in the sunshine could do for a soul.  Made me want to run, skip, jump, turn cartwheels!
  Pure bliss!!
(Except for the cartwheels - I never could turn a decent one - not even close!)

Before reaching the river, the "Little Caboose" spied a playground.  "Stop Pappy!"
(Imagine now -- brakes squealing and food flying all over the interior of the van - but we came to a halt with 2 inches to spare!)
Playtime!!

Shhhh...Quiet.....Imagination at work here -  Pilots soaring over the hills and valleys!

To a little boy, there is nothing like a digger and a ton of sand - not to mention the extra ton the "Little Caboose" carried home in his shoes!

Practicing for the "hot rod" derby!  Faster, faster!!

On to the river....the seagulls and ducks were EVERYWHERE!!

It didn't take long for the ducks to figure out who was in charge of the food. (Yikes, the shadow of Darth Vader has returned - spooky!)

Hungry, hungry ducks!

"Come and get it duckly wuckly!"

Digging in the mud and ..........

....throwing rocks in the water was a great way to end a perfect afternoon!

Hoping sunny days are coming your way,
Dee Dee
