We Bob learned to lower the eggs in slowly with a spoon.....
Then to wait patiently (did I say patiently?) while the color took hold.......
When Wee Bob thought no one was looking, he tried "free styling" it.......
"Try using a spoon Wee Bob......or your fingers will turn ghoulish colors!"
"I tried the spoon thing Dee Dee and guess what? It's much faster using my fingers!"
Now that is one pretty basket of Easter Eggs!!
Egg Coloring Lesson #1 over and done. Now it is off to the barn to visit Pappy.
"Hey Pappy....How do you like my yellow and green hands?"
"I really think we need to move that black cow with the white spot on its head over to the Longhollow pasture."
"And since we are on the subject of cattle......don't you think we need to purchase another bull?"
"And while we are at it, what do you think about buying a new tractor? One of those yellow and green ones?"
"Oh rats! Dee Dee has found us - now she is going to want to clean all the mud, dirt, grime, cow poop and food dye off of me. Pappy, tell Dee Dee that real cowboys are supposed to smell!"
"I knew it, I knew it, I knew it! Real cowboys don't stand a chance around this farm!"
And so the day ended with a sweet smelling, well fed, clean clothed, little cowboy ready to ride the wheels back home with his mom. So what if his little fingers were still a "wee bit" ghoulish looking!! Green and yellow fits the tractor theme perfectly!
