Snow On The Farm!

Now that we are enjoying warmer temperatures with plenty of sunshine, I can reflect back on the "snow storm" that hit us two weeks ago and relive the calming stillness of it all.  Even though it was miserably COLD, WET, and CLOUDY, I have to admit it was pretty.  Here are some pictures that I took around the farm.....

Waking up to a winter wonderland!

Hope the birds stayed warm and dry.

Extra fence wire resting on an old tree stump.

Oh my, I would hate to know I had to plow a field sitting on this old thing!!

Gee, this swing looks so lonely swinging in the breeze.

 Riding across the snowy pastures...

The invisible road to the farm...

Come on in....the hot chocolate is ready!!

A little hay, a little snow, a little water.....

 The home front.....winter style!

The farm equipment stayed nice and dry in the new barn....

So did the tractors in the old barn.....

Rocks and snow on the ridge.....

Crossing one of the creeks on our way to get Wee Bob...

As the day warmed up the snow melted and made ponds of the pastures....The cows didn't seem to mind as long as they had hay to munch on!!

Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go...or is that Pooh's house??

I could not help but marvel at the pure beauty of it all!!....

Following our tracks back home across one of the hay fields....

The streams were gurgling and bubbling outside their banks as the day warmed up and the snow melted..

I am so glad that the kids in our area were able to experience the joy of sledding down a hill and flipping over into a pile of snow!!  Now that they have wonderful memories to tell their grandchildren one day, I say lets make way for warm temps and sunny skies!!

Love,
Dee Dee
